Aquatic macrophytes are often underappreciated and misunderstood groups of plants. Jeremy Hartsock will provide background on the important functions aquatic macrophytes perform and show how to distinguish between common genera.
Jeremy will then discuss ongoing research on developing an aquatic macrophyte monitoring protocol for Michigan’s inland lakes.
