Lesser sirens are large aquatic salamanders that haven’t been documented in Michigan for 56 years–five years after they were simultaneously discovered and presumably extirpated.
In 2019, we discovered the first living sirens in Michigan. This webinar addresses the current knowledge gaps and conservation implications for this species.

A former Navy mass communication specialist, he now serves as the communication specialist for Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation (PARC).
